Teaching

I have been teaching undergraduate and graduate classes as well as advising Bachelor’s and Master’s theses at the University of Bonn since summer term 2013. Classes taught frequently include lectures and tutorials on the theories of International Relations as well as seminars on soft power and cultural diplomacy, U.S. foreign affairs and the U.S. presidency, transatlantic relations, and the role of individuals in history and world politics. Here’s a full list of classes taught to date.

I have held guest lectureships at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Milano, Master’s Program in Cultural Diplomacy, Rome Campus (since May 2021), at the University of St Andrews (October 2019), and at Leiden University (February-March 2016).

Recipient of the University of Bonn’s Teaching Award for the academic year 2017/2018, I have been twice awarded the Teaching Award by the University of Bonn’s Political Science & Sociology Student Council (2014 & 2021).
